Continuity Exercise Evaluation
In my assignment, I tried to keep continuity as good as possible for obvious reasons. I think one thing I done very well was making the transitions between each of the rooms even though they were in two different locations. One thing I definitely could of improved on is the costume continuity. in one scene i'm wearing a black t-shirt and then shortly after in the next scene i'm wearing a blue button up shirt.
My Camera shot/angle choices are definitely not all the same sort of camera work. I tried to vary for shots and i think i was successful in doing that. I think one thing I did successfully was mix my shots; from ECU (Extreme Close Up) to an establishing shot. One thing I could of worked on is meeting the criteria of all the shots unfortunately I fell short of getting all the shots and the 20 shots into the whole clip. We also edited the whole assignment to black and white to add dramatic effect.
Mise En Scene: I think we did the mise en scene well in the first setting; however, in the second setting I think it wasn't the best setting as we were struggling to find somewhere to film. the one and only drawback was the fact that we couldn't remove the things within the room.. This then leads me on to the successful things about the clip. I think what went successfully was the first setting. I think this because of all of the background made the whole area look very mysterious and abandoned. This therefore made for the perfect setting for a deal (illegal exchange). I think what went 'not' so well is the fact the second setting wasn't the best as it could of been. There were things from last year (props, green screens etc.). It then caused our last scene to look less professional.
For sound we cut out all of the digetic sound and added non-digetic sound (Dramatic music with no copyright). This really added to the effect and made it more dramatic.
